Lil Nas X : Old Town Road devient le plus gros hit de l'histoire

Old Town Road est donc devenu le plus gros titre de l'histoire. Cette chanson signée Lil Nas X est arrivée un peu de nulle part, mais a réussi à vite s'imposer dans les tcharts grâce à son style mêlant rap et country. Une composition rafraîchissante qui est finalement entrée dans l'histoire de la musique... Alors qu'absolument rien ne la prédestinait à exploser aussi vite et aussi fort !

Lil Nas X, 17 semaines au top 

En effet, Lil Nas X a acheté un beat sur YouTube pour quelques dollars seulement. Le rappeur peaufine sa chanson et la met en ligne. Très vite, elle deviendra un véritable succès sur Tik Tok et le titre profite de cette exposition pour continuer à gagner en notoriété au point de s'imposer dans les classements américains. Problème, Billboard se refusera à classer Old Town Road dans son top country.

Qu'importe, le titre se classe au top du Billboard Hot 100. Dix-sept semaines plus tard, Lil Nas X ne lâche rien à ses adversaires et explose le record de longévité en tête du Hot 100, détrônant One Sweet Day de Mariah Carey et Despacito de Luis Fonsi, à égalité avec 16 semaines tout en haut du top. Une situation que Lil Nas X a encore du mal à croire. « Cette chanson a changé ma vie et la manière que j'ai de voir le monde autour de moi en moins d'un an. Merci à chaque personne ayant fait partie de ce voyage. Comme je l'ai dit plus tôt, ce n'est que le début ! »

last year in october �x}� , as a struggling artist �xÈ�xÈ‍'️starting to lose faith in what i could be, i went looking for beats on youtube�xÈxÈ‍�x�. i remember clicking on so many generic sounding beats�xÈ�x�~trying to find the right one for me�x�. when suddenly i came across a country-trap �xÈxÈ‍�xRÈx�asounding masterpiece�xÈ. i immediately knew i would make something special out of it�xÈ�xÈa�️! my sister�xÈxÈ told me i had little time left ⏳before i had to leave her house �xÈ after being there for months�x promoting my music�x}� online �xÈ�xÈand not helping�xÈ�xÈ‍'️ her out much. i was so upset �x�! i used it as motivation for the song�x}Ç i jokingly/seriously saw myself as a loner �xaÈxÈ‍'️ cowboy�xÈ needing to �xÈ�xÈrun away from it all�x}Ç I went out �xx�xx on my sister’s back porch �xܶ and listened to the beat �x}�OVER �x& OVER �x& OVER�x!! then it came to me�xܳ!! in my best singing voice�xܮ i sung�x}� “YEAHHH IM GONNA TAKE MY HORSE�x�} TO THE OLD TOWN ROAD �x:� IM GONNA RIDEEEE TIL I CANT NO MORE �x��x�” I LOVED IT ALREADY! i started to work on it�xÈxÈ‍�x}� �x0�xÈEVERY SINGLE DAY�xÈxÈ. it needed to be funny�xÈ, it needed to be catchy�x��x}�, it needed to be hip hop �xÈx�, it needed to be country�xÈ�xÈ, & it needed to be short�xR�xÈ!! by the time i was finished �x�& setting it up �xÈxÈ‍'️ i was out of my sister’s crib�xÈ and at my brothers �xÈxÈ‍�xÈ place. on �ܒ️�xR�december 2️⒣nd i went into the studio �x}Èx}Èx}� & recorded OLD TOWN ROAD�x�}�xÈ�S� & put it out the exact same �xday!! did i know it would become the longest running number 1️⒣ song of all time? �x�NO! ⬼️ but i am so thankful�x"ÈxÈ that this blessing �S� has been placed upon me�xÈ. this song has changed my life�xÈ�xÈ�xÈ and the way i see the world�xR}�xR�around me�x"9�xÈ‍'️ in less than a year�x�. thank you to every single person�ܝ️ who has been apart of this journey�xR. as i said�xܯ before, it’s just the beginning! �xÈxÈ�x�}�a�️
